Just A Pizza My Mind started with two pizza-obsessed humans — Samuel and Melissa Ranz — who fell for each other somewhere between the sauce and the dough. They met working in the pizza biz, bonded over their drive to “hold the standard,” and realized they both wanted something more: a place that felt real, welcoming, and unapologetically themselves.

After years of hustling in both big chains and mom-and-pop shops, they ditched the corporate crust to create their own vibe — one built on good food, good people, and good times. What started as recipe testing with friends in 2021 rolled into their first food truck, Jackie, in 2022… and they’ve been firing up dreams ever since.

Melissa grew up making pies with her family, always pushing flavor boundaries. Samuel was running pizza shops at 19, proving early on that this stuff runs deep. Together, they’re on a mission to serve that perfect pie — not just in taste, but in experience.

At Just A Pizza My Mind, we believe pizza should feed more than your stomach. It should spark connection, comfort, and maybe a few laughs along the way. So come as you are, grab a pie, and let’s keep raising the pizza standard — one mind-blowing bite at a time.

At Just A Pizza My Mind, our mission is to allow people to be bold and burn bright. We’re here to provide careers for people with a passion for food and hospitality — and to prove that hard-working dreamers (and stoners!) can make their goals come true.

We aim to nourish our communities through an experience that’s full of companionship, fun, and fearless flavor. Every pizza we serve is a reflection of care, creativity, and community.

🍕 First made-to-order pizza drive-thru — one of very few to even exist!
❤️ Both owners started in pizza in 2014 for the same company but didn’t meet until 2018.
🎉 They began dating during National Pizza Month (October) — and now open their first brick-and-mortar the same month!
🐾 Their husky, Loki, was born on National Pizza Day (2/9).
🚚 Food trucks: “Jackie” opened 12/22, “Kitty” in 06/24, and new drive-thru “Grey” in 10/25.
🏆 Awards: Best Food Truck 2023, 2024, and 2025 from Seattle Times, South Sound Magazine, and News Tribune.
🍽️ Pizza styles served: Hand-tossed (Neapolitan + NY mix), Chicago Tavern Thin, Cheez-Crusted Deep Dish Detroit, Gluten-Free Friendly, and Nana’z Style (our cheez-crusted take on Sicilian).
